Chattering Class

Those people whose job it is to absorb ideas from other people and summarize them for others. People who write for the New York Reviw of Books or are op-ed columnists at the New York Times.

I find them, by and large, not good at discovering that books like *Illiberal Education* are full of lies and bad thinking. If it's written in a book, and that book has a familiar style (citations, numbers, etc.), they're inclined to trust it instead of doing the digging to see if what the book says is *true*.

This wiki is necessary because of their failure.

The name is not complimentary, but note that I myself am one of them.
